Do write about elves?

Do you write about elves? Are there any in your world? Do you have a difference between elves and high elves? Do you have wood elves and that sort, or are all elves the same?

I used to write about them all the time, but since then have kept my characters human for the most part. Human as in no race specified, therefore it is assumed they are standard-issue humans.

I have got Elves in my novel, Cammie. However, I recently discovered I really don't know enough about them. So I am going on a 'learning about Elves' week next week. I need to know about them for my book, as they play an important role.

I don't really like Elves, Dwarves, or any peoples like that. They tend to be overused, based on all the stuff I've read recently. However, if I see someone who does their work on Elves and creates a good representation of Elves and their culture, or adds a new twist on the basic Elf, I'll probably read it. But no Santa elves!

I have elves in Zoriah. I also have Dark Elves. In last year's NaNo novel, I wrote a (rather lengthy) explanation on the separation of elves and Dark Elves. This year's NaNo is centered on Dark Elves and how the MCs are trying to 'defeat' (or at least 'subdue') them. I enjoy writing about elves.

Sometimes. In the novel I am currently working on, no elves have popped up yet. But who knows? One might push itself in
